North Beach Place
North Beach Place (NBP) is the mixed use, affordable housing complex that opened in 2004, replacing a troubled public housing project. The complex, located one block from Tel-Hi, serves 49% more low- to moderate-income families and individuals than the public housing that
it replaced.
The North Beach Place Family Center is Tel-Hi's link to the 342 families and seniors who reside at North Beach Place. Our goal is to help integrate NBP residents into the larger community. NBP Family Center is our newest initiative. We also welcome and encourage NBP residents to participate in all of Tel-Hi's programs.
The North Beach Place Family Center offers academic enrichment and recreation activities to 50 teens on-site in the Family Rec Center at North Beach Place. Program highlights include:
- Homework support and tutoring for teens
- Computer access and support
- Enrichment activities (after school and full-day in the summer)
- Community events for families
