Have you ever thought about getting involved with a community nonprofit but weren't sure how?
As vacations wind down and fall activities beckon, we're pleased to present opportunities to participate with Tel-Hi.
Friends of Tel-Hi offers a no-pressure point of connection for you to see how your time and talent can make a difference for neighborhood children, youth, families, and seniors.
Please join us for the first meet-up of the season on Thursday, September 23, from 6-8 pm, for drinks and snacks at the Parlor, located in the Cannery. Meet Melissa Folmer, an experienced Tel-Hi advocate, Nes Fernandez, our interim executive director, and Tony Tyson, our programs director. Learn what's up at Tel-Hi and discuss opportunities to contribute to a fun(d)raising event or help out at the Center. Send questions to friends@tel-hi.org or contact Monica (monica@tel-hi.org or 421-6443 ext 16).
Known for working hard and cooking good food, Monica comes to us from Western Athletic Clubs, where she spent 20 years honing her skills (in accounting, human resources, as coordinator of philanthropic drives, employee events, and more. Monica believes her top skill may be her ability to "be the same person with everybody." That spirit is a perfect fit for Tel-Hi, and we're happy to welcome her. Contact Monica with questions about volunteering or events at Tel-Hi (monica@tel-hi.org or 421-6443 ext 16).
